Osama bin Laden, former mastermind of a criminal organization known as al Qaeda, was recently awarded the title of Saifullah, sword of Allah, by The Pakistan Ulema Council. While this is a high honor for a Muslim cleric, the people of the United States awarded Osama even higher honors and confered more power and granted a more far reaching legitimacy to him and to al Qaeda.
For successfully conducting a horrendous criminal assault against the United States by hijacking arcraft and using them to murder thousands of people and destroy symbols of capitalism and military might, the people of the United States pardoned that crime by calling it an act of war. They pardoned the criminal gang al Qaeda by raising it to the rank of state actor and they pardoned its criminal membership by promoting them all to the rank of enemy combatant or insurgent and they pardoned the criminal mastermind Osama bin Laden by promoting him the the rank of president of the virtual State of al Qaeda. To seal these proclamations, the people of the United States will build a memorial that al Qaeda will point to like any person displaying an accreditation or commendation or trophy.
During previous years, the State of al Qaeda actually was a mere criminal gang but it held a legitimizing recruiting call in the form of United States military and clandestine forces performing overt and covert acts in multiple countries across the Middle East. Al Qaeda was also able to point up consistently anti Arab and anti Muslim foreign policies maintained by western nations. They were able to recruit criminals looking for some way to excuse their criminal aspirations past and future. But criminals are relatively few in organized societies and criminals pretending to be soldiers or mujahideen are difficult to manage. Al Qaeda was no more a threat than any other gang of criminals in any society or country anywhere on earth.
But the people of the United States made such glaring proclamations that criminals were enemy combatants and crimes were acts of war and that al Qaeda was a state actor of considerable power and Osama bin Laden such an able leader that recuiting by al Qaeda was no longer limited to criminals. Now they could recruit real mujahideen and develop an efficient command structure and deploy troops to effect. But the people of the United States went much further. They sent "Christian Zionist Crusader Troops" to invade and occupy the primarily muslim countries of Afghanistan and Iraq. They juxtaposed the words Islam and Islamic and Muslim with words like radical, extremist, fundamentalist, fascist, terrorist and militant. They made such a world litany of those juxtapositions that few would doubt their intent or escape the impact. Al Qaeda can now use invading troops and this resounding anti Islamic litany to formulate calls to defend your family, your homeland and your religion. With so very many unarmed civilians being killed in Afghanistan and Iraq, a long queue of jihadis seek a means to avenge their deaths and act out alone or with al Qaeda support when the first moment of opportunity appears. With so very many home invasions by male troops who trespass female quarters, a long queue of Muslim males await some opportunity to regain their honor.
Having once been limited to a small haven in Afghanistan, the appointed State of al Qaeda is now headquartered in Pakistan and bases mujahideen in Afghanistan and Iraq. They have been stationed there to resist occupations established by invading Zionist crusader forces and to defend Islam against Christian dominionists. In particular, Christian dominionist militia which rival the size and force of the USMC are not well covered by American media but too well known in the Middle East. Funded primarily by US taxpayers, the large footprint of George Bush's private Christian army plus his domestic support for Christian faith based organizations leaves little doubt in Muslim minds of Bush's Christian Corporation favor and fervor.
The State of al Qaeda, the base, has been fully legitimized and empowered by the United States. It can station troops in Iraq and Afghanistan and Lebanon and Gaza and Somalia and the Philippines and nearly anywhere of opportune or strategic value. This landless state has plenty of ground to work with and will remain immune and even aloof from military might because it needs not defend land. An army raised up against it is like raising up a sixteen pound sledge hammer to swat a fly. No effort can affirm and embolden al Qaeda and Taliban jihadis more than George W Bush already has. President bin Laden and his successor will continue to enjoy immunity and impunity for so long as the people of the United States call him anything but criminal and al Qaeda anything but a criminal organization. Radical, extremist, fundamentalist, fascist, terrorist and militant will continue to legitimize jihad and the presence of Christian troops on Muslim soil will continue to justify urgent actions and encourage martyrs.
President George W Bush and President Osama bin Laden are doing well. No American President has ever concentrated so much power in the oval office or spent so much taxpayer wealth without accounting or so violated the Constitution and laws with impunity or so subverted and contraverted so many international treaties and laws. No leader of a criminal gang has ever been so empowered and so legitimized as has Osama bin Laden. No leader of a criminal gang has ever had so many or such fervent followers and so much power and so many countries to operate in with such a level of immunity and impunity while working to meet any aspiration of his own or his followers. Or even to counter the Christian encroachment.
